PA66GF35

PA66 Polyamide Compound is based on a PA66 matrix reinforced with 35% alkali-free chopped glass fiber by mass. With silane coupling technology, it provides an excellent balance of high strength, heat resistance, creep resistance, and processability. Standard colors include natural beige and black. Custom grades are available, including halogen-free UL94 V-0 flame-retardant, hydrolysis-resistant, low-temperature toughened, and low-fiber-float formulations. Compared with GF30, this material offers higher rigidity, heat resistance, and creep resistance, while remaining more processable than GF40. It is ideal for heavy-duty precision structural components requiring high strength, dimensional stability, and reliable long-term performance.

Use Cases of PA66 Polyamide Compound

  • Automotive Industry (Core Applications): Engine valve covers, intake manifolds, radiator water chambers, water pump housings, transmission structural brackets, small chassis suspension brackets, throttle body assemblies, fuel pump housings, and high-power automotive connector housings (oil-resistant, high-temperature-resistant, and hydrolysis-resistant).

  • High-Voltage Electronics and Electrical Equipment: Circuit breaker bases, high-power relay bases, internal load-bearing brackets for charging stations, motor coil frames, high-voltage terminal blocks, and insulated enclosures for variable frequency drives (flame-retardant V0-rated specialty material).

  • Power Tools & General Machinery: High-power angle grinder housings, impact drill gear sets, hydraulic pump valve bodies, heavy-duty bearing housings, industrial sprockets, small-to-medium precision transmission gears, and load-bearing housings for instruments and meters.

  • Other Industries: Load-bearing brackets for heavy-duty fitness equipment, small components for construction machinery, pressure-bearing valve bodies for bathroom fixtures, and transmission structural components for agricultural machinery.

Core Characteristics of PA66 Polyamide Compound

  • High strength and low creep: 35% glass fiber reinforcement ensures minimal deformation under long-term pressure, making it suitable for parts subjected to prolonged heavy loads;

  • Excellent molding compatibility: Compared to GF40, it offers better flow properties and fewer free fibers, resulting in higher first-pass yield rates for complex deep-cavity and thick-walled large parts;

  • Comprehensive Modification Options: Hydrolysis-resistant grades for automotive cooling systems; V0 halogen-free flame retardant for high-voltage electrical applications; cold-resistant grades that do not crack at -35°C;

  • Precision and Low Shrinkage: Minimal dimensional change in high- and low-temperature environments, enabling controlled assembly tolerances for precision gears and snap-fit components.

Processing Recommendations

  • Drying: Vacuum drying at 100–110°C for 4–6 hours, until moisture content is <0.12%, to eliminate silver streaks and air bubbles;

  • Barrel temperature: 270–290°C; nozzle temperature: 275–285°C;

  • Mold temperature: 90–110°C, to optimize surface finish, reduce fiber protrusion, and stabilize dimensional accuracy.
